​Walk in A Country Garden 
For years Frances Macy hosted a Garden Walk at the Bluebird Farm near Crescent, for the benefit of the Frontier Country Museum.  Bluebird Gardens is a Foucart Award winning 125+ year old farm house.  
​Hoop’s Up
Basketball themed event for the entire family featuring basketball contest and interesting basketball history with Logan County roots. 
The Museum has exhibits that will take you back to a time ---
when rules were different, see the historical, and the hysterical.
Learn about Crescent born, Geese Ausbie of the Harlem Globetrotters &
Ralph Godfrey’s traveling Donkey Basketball.
​Peach Festival
Celebrating Logan County's rich orcharding heritage.  Events included peach recipe tastings, demonstrations, children’s activities, Logan County orchard photography exhibit, and an ice cream social. 
End of Summer Fling
Celebrated the end of summer when watermelon was at its sweetest. 
People brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed music, lawn games, horse shoe competition, and watermelon contests.

Frontier Country Exploration Children's Activites
In past years the museum hosted summer activities for children looking for "something to do". 
​Some of the events inculded:
Lawn games:
  Trying their hand at ring toss, learning to shoot a sling shot, and play in the sprinklers.

Visit Great-grandma’s kitchen:, where they learned about forgotten kitchen gadgets and tried their hand at butter making and apple peeling.

The Photography Bug:  Kids brought cameras or smartphones for a pictorial scavenger hunt.  Photography tips were provided.

Woodworking Day:  Learned about carpentry tools, made a wooden toy, and letter stamped their own bracelet. 

American Pride – Learned about our local heroes, made patriotic crafts, and created paper airplanes to take home.

Feeling Board?  Board game day.  Which games withstood the test of time and still popular today.

Water and Oil –  Experimented with water and oil science and history.  Sponsored by Hirzel Oil and Gas

Get Your Hands Dirty – Kids helped pump water, scrubbed, and rung the day’s laundry.  Sewing crafts and soap making were explored.

What is a Landline?  Can you remember life with no cell phone or internet service?  Children learned about communicate through games and hands-on activities.

Back to School:   Kids met in the one room school house and learned how different school really was.  Recess games completed the experience.
